SANCTION : The contest is sanctioned by the National Physique Committee of the USA Inc. (NPC). Sanction #11372.

ELIGIBILITY : This contest is open to all males in the U.S. Contestants must register to join the NPC (the fee for 2011 is $100.00) and cards will be available at the contest.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS: The official host hotel is the EMBASSY SUITES HOTEL – FORT LAUDERDALE, 1100 Southeast 17th St., Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33316. The hotel is located near the contest site. Every room is a suite with a kitchen (fridge, microwave, etc.), dining area and sofa that pulls out for use as an additional bed plus complimentary cooked to order breakfast.. A special discounted rate has been arranged. AWARDS: 5 Places in each class (Short – up to & including 5’11” and Tall – Above 5’11”) plus overall. All contestants will receive a contestant medallion and free t-shirt. The overall winner will receive travel expense reimbursement of $250.00 for the 2011 NPC USA to be held July 29-30 in Las Vegas, NV or the 2011 NPC Nationals to be held Nov. 18-19 in Miami Beach, FL

SPECIAL BONUS TO OVERALL WINNER: To jump start the overall winner's modeling career, IAJE PHOTOGRAPHY will provide (at no charge) a developmental photo shoot complete with a CD of edited images, 35 - 8 x 10 head shots and 25 Comp-cards (Zed Cards). In addition, a well known modeling agency will be on site seeking new talent from all of the contestants.

REGISTRATION/CHECK IN:

EARLY CHECK IN: Thursday, July 7, 2011 – 6:00 – 8:00pm – Embassy Suite Hotel, 1100 SE 17th St., Ft. Lauderdale.

FINAL CHECK IN: Friday, July 8, 2011 – 8:00am – 9:00am – War Memorial Auditorium (contest site). Athlete meeting at 9:30am –

PREJUDGING STARTS AT 10:00AM. EVENING SHOW: 6:00PM.

JUDGING CRITERIA:

MUSCULARITY & BODY CONDITION: Judges will be looking for fit contestants who display proper shape and symmetry combined with muscularity and overall condition. This is not a bodybuilding contest so extreme muscularity will be marked down.

STAGE PRESENCE & PERSONALITY: Contestants will be asked to appear in board shorts. Shorts must be just above knee in length and can be one inch below the belly button. No spandex and no logos permitted except for manufacturer’s logo such as Nike or Billiabong. Competitors will enter stage without a shirt and barefoot. No lewd acts allowed such as the moon pose. Judges are looking for the contestant with the best stage presence and poise who can successfully convey his personality.

COMPETITION JUDGING:

PRESENTATION: Each competitor will walk to the center of the stage and perform four quarter turns with optional pose of hand on hip or in pocket. Face the judges as directed as then proceed to the side of the stage.

COMPARISON ROUND: The competitors will be brought back out in their height class and directed to do quarter turns. Judges will have the opportunity at this point to compare the competitors. At the night show, the winner of the Short and Tall Class will be brought out for comparison and scoring for the overall.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
1. The top five in each class will qualify for all NPC national events for the balance of 2011 and all of 2012.
2. Crossovers will be allowed between Men's Physique and Men's Fitness. An additional entry fee of $30.00 will be charged.
