OFFICIAL ENTRY FORM - WOMEN

SANCTION : This competition is sanctioned by the National Physique Committee of the USA Inc. NPC Sanction #11372.

ELIGIBILITY : This contest is open to all women in the U.S. Those in the Teenage & Masters Women must provide proof of age at the check in. Contestants must register to join the NPC (2011 fee is $100) and membership application cards will be available at the contest. The contest is a NATIONAL QUALIFIER for all events for this year and 2012.

HOTEL ACCOMODATIONS : The official host hotel is the EMBASSY SUITES HOTEL – FORT LAUDERDALE. 1100 Southeast 17th St., Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33316.. The hotel is located near the contest site. Every room is a suite with a kitchen (fridge, microwave), dining area and sofa that pulls out for use as an additional bed plus complimentary cooked to order breakfast. A special discounted rate has been arranged. For reservations, call toll free 1-800-Embassy -be sure to mention that you are part of the SOUTHERN STATES CHAMPIONSHIPS in order to get the discounted rate The local telephone for the hotel is: 954-527-2700. For those staying at the host hotel, by signing this agreement, they agree to be responsible for any damage to the hotel room as a result of any body color, oils, spray tan or any other damage to hotel bedding, towels, carpet, drapes, walls, doors or any other hotel furnishings.

AWARDS :
WOMEN'S FITNESS OPEN: Two height classes: Short, and Tall - 5 places in each height class plus Overall. Special Award: SPIRIT OF FITNESS. The overall winner will receive travel expense reimbursement of $250.00 good toward the airfare for the 2011 NPC Nationals in Miami Beach, FL on Nov. 18-19, 2011. NEW!! Routine counts 66 2/3 % of the overall score!!
TEENAGE FITNESS WOMEN: One Class - 3 places
WOMEN'S OPEN FIGURE: Four height Classes: Class A, B, C and D -5 places in each height class plus Overall. The Women's Figure Open overall winner will receive travel expense reimbursement of $250.00 good towards the airfare for the 2011 NPC USA July 29-30 in Las Vegas, NV or the 2011 NPC Nationals Nov. 18-19 in Miami Beach, FL.
NOVICE FIGURE: Two height Classes: Class A & B – 5 places in each plus Overall (open to any female who has not won or placed in a previous figure contest).
TEEN FIGURE WOMEN: Two Classes - 3 places in each Age Group plus Overall.
MASTERS WOMEN OVER 50, 40, 30 FIGURE: One Class 5 places.
MASTERS WOMEN OVERALL: The winner of the Over 50, 40, and 30 Figure compete for Masters WomenFigure Overall.
All Fitness & Figure competitors will receive a medallion.
WOMEN’S OPEN BIKINI: Four height classes: A, B, C & D plus Overall. The Women’s Open Bikini overall winner will receive travel expense reimbursement of $250.00 for the 2011 NPC USA July 29-30 in Las Vegas, NV or the 2011 Nationals on Nov. Oct. 18-19 in Miami Beach, FL.
NEW – BIKINI OVER 30: One class – 5 places.

SPECIAL BONUS TO BIKINI & FIGURE OVERALL WINNER: To jump start the BIKINI & FIGURE (Open) overall winner's modeling career, IAJE PHOTOGRAPHY will provide (at no charge) a developmental photo shoot complete with a CD of edited images, 35 - 8 x 10 head shots and 25 Comp-cards (Zed Cards). In addition, a well known modeling agency will be on site seeking new talent from all of the contestants.

REGISTRATION/CHECK IN: NEW PREJUDGING 10:AM FRIDAY, JULY 8TH

EARLY CHECK IN: Thursday, July 7, 2011 – 6:00 – 8:00pm – Embassy Suite Hotel, 1100 SE 17th St, Ft. Lauderdale.

FINAL CHECK IN: Friday, July 8, 2011 8:00am – 9:00am – War Memorial Auditorium (Contest Site). Athlete meeting at 9:30am – PREJUDGING STARTS AT 10:00AM – EVENING SHOW AT 6:00PM.

MUSIC : Music will be used for the Fitness Routine (Round #2). Contestants must provide a CD cued to their exact music - maximum time 2 minutes. No profanity is allowed on the CDs.

GENERAL INFORMATION : 1. Jewelry may be worn, 2. Thong swimsuits will not be allowed, and 3. The workable stage area is 45' long by 30' deep. It is a flat floor and there will be no platforms.

TANNING: On-Site/Backstage Tanning will be provided by Hot Spot of Sarasota. Tanning will be available to the competitors on Thursday at the host hotel (Embassy Suites Hotel), Friday and Saturday (backstage at the War Memorial Auditorium).. CROSSOVERS: Contestants may enter one other contest in addition to their primary event – subject to their being qualified. Competitors may not enter more than one age group competition. Additional entry fee: $30.00. Per NPC Rules, no crossover between fitness, figure & bikini.

COMPETITION ROUNDS & RULES - WOMEN'S OPEN FITNESS

ROUND 1/TWO PIECE SWIMSUIT : In each height class, the contestants will be brought individually to do their quarter turns and then compared in a line up in their two piece swimsuits with heels. The judges will be scoring the degree of athleticism by assessing the firmness, symmetry, proportion and overall physical appearance including complexion, skin tone, poise and overall presentation.
ROUND 2/FITNESS ROUTINE : Each contestant will perform a routine to music for no longer than 2 minutes. Routines may include aerobics, dance, gymnastics or other demonstration of athletic ability. Judges will be looking for style, personality, athletic coordination, strength moves, endurance and overall performance. THERE ARE NO REQUIRED MOVEMENTS. Contestants will wear a fitness outfit of their choice along with athletic shoes. Special attention should be given to your fitness outfit since it too will be judged. Due to the danger of slipping, no body oil will be allowed during this round. Props carried on stage by the athlete are approved.
SCORING : NEW: FITNESS ROUTINE NOW COUNTS FOR 66 2/3% OF THE SCORING!. In the Women's Open Fitness, the winner of the Short Class and Tall Class will be brought back on stage and compared with quarter turns in their two-piece swimsuit and heels for judging of the overall winner.

COMPETITION ROUNDS & RULES - WOMEN'S OPEN, NOVICE, TEEN & MASTERS (WOMEN OVER 30, 40 & 50) FIGURE

ROUND 1/TWO PIECE SWIMSUIT: The contestants, wearing a two piece swimsuit of their choice with high heels, will be brought out individually to do their quarter turns and then compared in a line-up. The judges will be scoring the degree of athleticism by assessing the firmness, symmetry, proportion and overall physical appearance including complexion, skin tone, poise, swimsuit and overall presentation.
ROUND 2/FINAL ASSESSMENT: In the Women's Open Figure, the winners of Class A, B, C, & D will be brought back on stage and compared in their two piece swimsuit and heels for judging of the overall winner. In the Teen Figure, the winner of the 13-16 and 17-19 will be compared in their two piece swimsuit for determination of an overall Teen Figure winner. The same criteria for judging applies in this round as in Round 1.

COMPETITION ROUND & RULES – WOMEN’S OPEN BIKINI & BIKINI OVER 30

ROUND 1/TWO PIECE SWIMSUIT: The contestants, wearing a two piece swimsuit of their choice with high heels, will perform their “ModelWalk” (personal preference) to the center of the stage, stop and do a front stance, do a full turn to do their rear stance, turn to front again, then proceed to the side of the stage. No thong swimsuits will be permitted. Jewelry may be worn in this round. No oil may be worn. The contestants will then present their full front and rear stance with the other contestants in their height class. Judges will score competitors on “Balance and Shape” and overall physical appearance including complexion, skin tone, poise and overall presentation.
ROUND 2/FINALS: The top five competitors in each of the four height classes will receive their trophies. The winners of each class will then be brought back on stage and compared for the awarding of the overall trophy.
